Davies Organic Consultancy is headed by Martin Davies. Having already worked on two arable farms in the Midlands, Martin gained his NDA at Bishop Burton Agricultural College before becoming under-manager on a 4,000 acre arable and dairy unit, where he was primarily responsible for the combinable crops and potato acreage.

After 3 years, Martin returned to college to pursue a post graduate degree in agricultural financial management at Seale-Hayne Agricultural College.

After graduating, he returned to his parents’ farm in Shropshire in order to instigate and manage a major change in farming policy there, which resulted in the purchase of the farm and the removal of all debt.

Having secured the future of the farm, Martin took a position with Organic Farmers & Growers for 2 years before moving from certification compliance to business development with the Soil Association, a post he held for over 6 years.
